Bibi privacy
Last updated: 5 November 2026. Zias Van Campenhout is responsible for your data. Contact: hello@bibidesk.com.
What we keep
- Your email address, to sign you in and help you recover your account.
- Your password, stored only as a one-way hash, so nobody can read it.
- Your plan, and how much of your allowance you've used.
- Your subscription reference from Paddle. We never see your card details.
- An encrypted backup of your Bibi preferences, dock, Afterglow topics and services, credits and unlocked backgrounds, so they survive a new computer.
Your conversations
Your messages pass through our server on their way to Anthropic, who runs the AI. We don't store them. Anthropic handles them under its own commercial terms and privacy policy, and may keep them for a limited time. On Windows, chats are saved on your own computer. On your phone, they're saved on your phone.
What stays on your device
Your chats, calendar, money information, passwords and app sign-ins are not backed up to us.
Who can see what
We can see your email, plan, usage and account status to run Bibi and give support. Backups are encrypted when stored, and our admin tools don't show their contents. We hold the encryption key, so this isn't end-to-end encryption. Admin actions on accounts are logged.
Who else is involved
- Anthropic, for the AI.
- Paddle, for payments and tax.
- Vercel and Upstash, who host our website, server and account data.
- Resend, who delivers sign-in emails.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@bibidesk.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
